Who's going to Indy Buick Horsepower ?

I tried to find a thread along this line without success. Sooooo... Who's gonna go defend the Buick honor? I'm driving the clone up Thursday morning. I hope some of the big guns are coming. Heck, I might even run a few time trials just to see what she'll do in a quarter.

Hi Brian,

We will have the show information up soon. For sure there will be Concours judging with trophies awarded and such. I am getting with John Stevens and the Chicago Chapter to finalize the regular classes.

I'll be there, not sure if I'll have the motor back in or not, but I'm shooting for it. If not I'll be there in the Cheby wagon. I'm picking it up from the machine shop tuesday, so all my time off work is going into the Buick. Can't wait til it's done. Remember, the Formula 1 race is in town that same weekend, so we need to show those wine sippers what American muscle is all about! :Brow: :Brow: :3gears: The speedway is only about 10-15 minutes from IRP.

I am going to Indy for the Buick Horsepower Nationals and was wondering how many Buick guys are planning on attending.

I'll be bringing my Crystal Blue 1969 GS 400 convertible to race and show. Looking foward to seeing some faces and some of the cars that I heard will be debuted there. How are these cars comming along. See you all soon.

got the motor back yesterday, and all I have to do is put it together and get it in the car, so I know where all my off-time is going between now and then :Brow: :Brow: I'm shooting to get it done by the 25th, and I should be there the 30th and the 1st if work lets me :Dou: Lookin forward to meeting everybody out there.

There is a slim chance in heck that my wife will bring her 1969 Skylark Custom, it may or may not have the XSPerformance supercharger system back on it depending on if everything comes together in time. My help is off doing the Power Tour and an Overhaulin' episode this month so we won't have an engine until late in the month.

I developed a nasty case of bronchitis (which really sucks when teamed up with athsma) so I'm having to opt out on attending. Glad to see so many are going though since it's the first one and I know collector has worked really hard to make it happen. Good luck to you all and I'll try to get better and maybe make the next Buick event. BTW I just cancelled Thursday and Friday nights stay at the Hilton if anyone is looking for last minute rooms. Good Luck to everybody going.
