I have purchased one of these and they fit and look just like the originals....

Get rid of the cracked or worn door and replace it with one of these!!!!

Mike any thoughs where to get the male part of the latch that fits in the lid? I am in need of one. Ihave the part that fits in the console but missing the one for the lid. Thanks Bill.

It's a bad design, IMHO - too hard to release, wants to pull out of the lid. I've found a little grinding on mine remedied the problem.

I think it could be done but I would hav to have one to get it made.

John thanks for pointing me to the pictures I did not remember what thay looked like either. I am in need of two. I have the other part, made by National Tuch Latch. Thanks Bill.

You can find them in other Buicks as well - I seem to recall that there was a thread somewhere that listed the cars - I think mine came out of a Wildcat a few years older than my '69...I think Rivieras used them too, for a while. Check the yards for console cars.

National Tuch Latch is still in business. I purchased a dozen of these a year ago, from a hardware store that carried them, for about $5 each. I posted the details on this site, too.
