I have an opertunity to purchase a 6 Buick Special 2dr sedan.

Its been sitting for at leat 20 yrs, all the chrome is there, but the bumpers and the taillight bezels are very rough and pitted.

My biggest concern at the time is the avalibity of parts for it, the rear qtrs being my biggest conceren, then rockers and the rear floor metal, front "appears" to be ok. the doghouse is in great shap cept for the Garage opening mishap on the rt ft fender.

The price is right $600 plan on swapping in a 455, 200R4 and Tub it out to Pro Street it.

Didnt know of what parts(if any) can interchange with the TRI 5 Chevys, I know the wheel base of the Buick is 122" the Chevys are 115" buy looking at side profile pictures of both, it "seems" to me from the ft doors back they are the same length, but that additional 7" is in btween the doors and the front wheel well opening.

With that said was looking at a Complete floor from a 55-56 Chevy 2 dr sedan, will it work? and the rockers?

As for the frame will it be ok to Pro street using that frame?

And finally for the front end , the brakes and the suspension, what will interchange there would love to have discs brakes and smaller bolt pattern hub .

Has any one ever tubbed one of these out and if so what did it take?

Again thanks ahead of time

1955-56 Oldsmobiles, probably 54's too will be your best bet for interchanges. Maybe Cadillac. The 55 chev. rockers will not work, as they aere concave instead of convex. 56 or 57 chev. might work. Call EMS at 216-541-4989. They don't list any, but can give you good advice. I was looking for some 51 Buick floors, and they don't make them, but said 57 chevy floors might be the best substitute, as they are very flat. (and they are).
