I searched hi and lo for outer wheel housings when my 69 was being done. I could not find them ANYWHERE ON EARTH!

The inners are available. I think I got them from Y1 or Cars. The quarter skins I think I also got from Cars. The portion used was from the marker lens opening on down. If you use the whole skin, the "ridge" on the top portion is clearly not as pronounced as the one on your original quarter. I guess it's a limitation in the casting process of the new ones.

The guy who did my body work had to fabricate the outer housings after getting the inners pieced in and quarters on and trunk floor in. I know these are available for GTO, Chevelle, yada yada yada. But forget the GS, at least the 68 and 69 anyway. Anybody know any different?

I've heard through the 'grapevine' that Chevelle wheelhouses can be used with 'strategically placed' cuts and a 'little' manipulation. Someone told me three cuts and a bend to a Chevelle wheelhouse and it fits the GS perfectly. I believe it was one of Al's (GSThunder) friends in South Jersey.

Anyone have any additional information on this? Anyone tried it?

Hi Mark -

How about registering your GS? Please see my website for details. I have only 1 1969 Stage1 listed and it's lonely :Brow:

Thanks!

Mark,

How would you like a nice, almost totally rust free, 69 Skylark 2dr. HT body. Car is originally from CA. Small rust spot in the corner of the trunk and some in the left rear foot well. Everything else is solid. Car has ugly primer job over the original paint. I can send pics if you are interested. NO TITLE, so its for parts only. $700 for the body shell.
