I am reeeaally not trying to brag. I just never win anything when I go to car shows. But this time I was the only 73-77 a-body car and the only Buick among 130 or so Chevelles, Novas, Mustangs, and a few Pontiacs and Olds at the Central Ohio Cruise-In. There was a mix of the other usual stuff too.

Maybe these cars are starting to gain a little popularity because there were some way better looking cars than mine that didn't win anything.

Yes, very proud. My wife says "Are you ever going to stop smiling?".
My kids are all very excited because they "helped" me prep the car before the show. I told them they won it for all the good work they did.

Congrats Mark
Those 73's have some nice lines. They're really starting to grow on me.

That is a great looking car, Mark, and it went to a deserving owner! :bglasses: I've always been a fan of the '73 regals/century's, and hope to own one someday w/ a mighty 455 inside! :Brow:

That's great. One nice thing about having a car different than the typical choice is it stands out a lot more. I've actually had some hardcore chevy guys say ( when their friends aren't around ) that the GS Skylarks have better styling and lines than a Chevelle. Congradulations. :TU: John

Thank you all.
It was kind of funny. A guy and his 10 year old son parked next to me in his 69 Chevelle. When the boy got out of the car he said "Cooool" when he looked at my car. Of course, the dad said nothing.

I think if I went to "win", I wouldn't enjoy the shows too much. I really enjoy the old cars as well and that's why I go. Good luck at your show.

....I hope you're right...sometimes I feel like a "red headed stepchild"...

On a related note, my show that I am hosting is good to go for June 10th. Thanks for your input.

Congrats, you look like a pround dad. I'll admit I've never been a fan too much of that style, you've got yours done up nice. Kind of a kick in the nuts for all the camro and chevelle owner to see that :eek2: , its good to see something a little different come out ahead. :beer

I still want to replace my dash where all the gauges go. The rear window trim needs replaced and someday I would like to put in new floors and trunk.

Holy cow we did it again!
Again, we were the only a-body there but this time there was a red 70 Riv, and a 71 and a 70 Skylark.
My helpers from left to right are:
Michaela, Elizabeth (not a helper but a neighbor kid), and Kinsey.
In front holding the trophy is Gracyn, my youngest.

I'll make sure to tell them for you.
Gracyn was so cute at the show. She had a towel wiping down the left side of the car but she also had taffy in her hand. It made a lovely sticky mess. I wanted to be angry but it was just too cute to watch and easy to clean up.

Yeah that Gracyn is a little cutie. My Kids really took to her. We gotta get together again sometime. BTW...lemme guess, now they want a third trophey so they each have one.

Yeah, if they got a third trophy they would just fight over who's was the biggest then they would all get broken.

I'm not opposed to heading to PA again. The wife and kids are out of school this week. Oh yeah, I still have to work though.
