What is involved with baging my 55 special? I don't see any kit's but can a system be used while still using my stock drivetrain? Does a system usually come with the tank and compressor? What kind of $$$$$$$ have you typicaly spent? I'm looking at getting lowering coils but then airride popped into my mind of dimencia.
thanx chad

I have not done any systems myself but I know a few guys who have and said they are pretty easy.
I don't think the stock driveline/torque tube will present any issues.
You probably will need to replace the knee action rear shocks as well as the front shocks.
I do believe there are several kits with compressors, bags and some hardware availible, but it seems most guys piece them together so save cash.
I think someone on the board bagged a 58, the set up should be similar. I would do a search and see what he did.
Best of luck.

I'm going say ur best bet is to contact Airride technologies or a local shop that deals with them. They are not the cheapest company out there but by far the best. They will sell u everything from peices to complete kits if available and most of the time if they do not have a kit already built for your car they will help find what will work or build u what u need. Every kit I've dealt with from them has been basically a bolt on plug and play expirence. I personally would look into what availabilty they have on a Shockwave system for your car. But it doesn't hurt to shop around and see what else u could find... Good luck :beer
