:TU: Not sure if anyone has or is interested in replacing their vacuum wiper system with a modern dual speed Electric system, but I just installed the New Port Engineering Electric wiper system in my 57 Century, very simple bolt in replacement to old vacuum unit, 2 speed, auto park, an intermittent system is avalable, as well as washer, etc. Left original switch in place, mounted new control switch under dash near steering colum, out of view but within easy reach. Excellent kit, $200.00, if anyone is interested www.newportwipers.com

I had my motor rebuilt at "Wiper-man". The motor runs well but will not drive the wipers. I went under the dash and made sure the transmissions would work easily, and they seem to, lubricated them anyway, but still no dice. So I guess an electric unit is in my future as well. Wish I had spent the hundred bucks on a new unit. Vacuum seems strong enough at about 18lbs. The car only has 59m miles so the wiper transmissions should not be worn out. One is real tough to get at because my Roadmaster has factory air. Oh well, at least the Canadian dollar is worth something now!...Wayne Pruden
