Post them here! Even though my camera never left my glovebox, I will start with some pictures that Dan Jones (Deacon) took and emailed to me.

Since he sent them to me, I will start with his car, after that, no particular order. Pretty good turnout this year, especially given that the weather was threatening rain most of the day (luckily it never came). I think there were about 160 cars. As usual, Vandall was there taking pictures, but who knows if he will ever post them. Also ran into several other board members, several of them "new" to the show this year like Rick Henderson was there with GSXRay's old car (Bill Van Steen's new car) on a trailer, (not in the show), Steve Everist (71GS455) made it out, Jamie (65specialconver) was there selling starters, of course Harvey (GS-XNR) made it down (he is bringing a car "next year"), Ken (Ken Buchanan) and his wife LarKen were there, several Buick brothers from Oregon made the trek like Eric Nelson (Eric) and his brother Grant and Robert (71 gs455) in his beautiful 71 blue 4 speed car (with the flames!), Duke Carpenter (DukeC) was there, jimstage1 made it over from Bremerton but tjcole was a no show, Jerry (gotbuick) and his better half were there in their beautiful Roadmaster wagon. Sure there are many others I am forgetting, my apologies!

More pictures here as well! (http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=102016)

Nice shots Chris. That Buick Woody is pretty cool a couple of surfboards added and it would fit into a 60's Elvis Beach party movie.

Thanks Rick, even though I didn't take them. :>)

That woody was unreal! The owner did a fantastic job on the wood, and the leather interior smelled like heaven. Not sure what they drivetrain was, but I did notice front disc's so I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't stock.

here are my photos... the cool thing about this site is you can choose from S, M, L or Original sizes. so if you wanted to perhaps print out a photo you can download the full resolution image. just don't reproduce without asking! so which car won the best of show?

How could that be!?

First, I don't do car shows...
Second, I don't have any money...
Third, wouldn't I have received something to take home with me in exchange???

It just doesn't add up!

Maybe something small, and with hi-torque, will show up attached to the bottom passenger side of my motor once it's assembled. :Brow:

Steve you should try doing shows. sometimes they are better than racing.

There was a hot looking 66? blue vert down at the Hot rod sunday show today & the guy was asking me why I wasnt at the Buick show (took the buick out to the hot rod sunday show) He knew most of you guys I didnt get his name though

I grew up going to car shows and the negativeness from them made me realize I'd rather see a not "right" car run at the track than a concours resto car roll out of a trailer.

I can appreciate a nice car, but I'd rather appreciate it running down the track. I spend a few minutes looking at them, then automatically think that I wish I could see it run.

My father was the show chairman for several years of the Classic Chev Club (55-57). I spent every show hearing everything that was "wrong" with some of the most beautiful cars you'd ever seen. Then there'd be all the political issues, such as "X is good friends with a couple of the judges," or "Y's car just got finished at the shop that is sponsoring the show," or "they didn't park me with the rest of my class, I'm sitting out here with cars not even in my group," etc... It just turned me off to the whole thing and the switch doesn't appear to ever be coming on again. I've never seen someone lose a drag (bracket) race because of politics, sponsors, or where they pit.

I enjoy talking with the people, especially those that I haven't seen as a result of only making a couple of passes in the last several years. But I'd rather see them at the track. It's a character flaw that I've learned to live with.

Thats why I have given up going to shows to win trophies. Dan & I dont care if we win or not. If we win hey thats great, If not hey we had a good day hanging out with people we like & meeting new people. We dont go to the HIGH point shows or the big buck shows (well we go to one & that is HAN)

There are some issues with racing to. I mean I get tired of hearing how bad a track treats the racers & how some racers feel that they should get everything. Dont let me get in to the teams either .

Dan & I decided to take the year off & we get yelled at not by members of our own team which understand but by other teams.

So see there is some on both sides of the coin there. Yes there are always people who think they are better than you, If you dont let it bother you & you do your own thing then things are kewl.
