I'd like to know who's interested in Making it down to Lakeville again this summer. Last year I thiink we had about 40 people show up. I'd like to double it this year. It's a great place for the whole family, it has a nice beach and playground and a decent sized parking lot. Give me some idea's for a date.

Chris, I'd like to try to make it again. We did mid-July last year, right? Look out for the BCA weekend. It will be harder for me to get out there this year, but will try for sure, maybe with a different Buick... :)

David
last year was Sept 10th The weekend after labor day. I was hoping to do it earlier this year. Maybe end of august. We'll see how many are showing interest.

I not sure of a weekend, I will have to get back to you on that.

Chris, since your Buickless, would you like to buy my convert?

Sweeeeeeeeeett!
Your back in it!
looks like grandma owned that one.

I am getting the new car road trip worthy!
Shouldn't take much, but a little sweat equity.
and of course extra funds. I'll need a new set of rubber, because of
all the new black marks everywhere I go.

Dave, is there hint that you are going to be driving a different set of wheels?

I'm going to make up some flyer's again and head to the Car Craft Summer Nat's. So we'll have to come up with a date before July 21st. I'll try to PM some of the local guy's to have them chime in here. Hopefully Ed will be able to have his 64 convert done and be able to stay the weekend.

Should be a 97 SC Riv sittin' in my garage in 10 days, new daily driver, but might make the trip instead of the GS. Besides, I don't want Chris' new car showing up my OLD car. :pp :eek2:

Dave I think it would be great to have both of them sitting next to each other, after all your car is one of the reason's I started to like that body style :beer

I have to agree, it would be nice to get pics of them together. Will have to wait and see, right now I'm getting a little tired of driving it Every Day, since selling off the old van a few weeks ago. Ok, so it's a HUGE improvement over driving a 96 Caravan, but I still enjoy it more driving it just a few times a week, instead of having no choice. Current plan is that I will be meeting up with the 97 Riv at the Back to the 50's deal in the cities on 6/24, it's being brought in from central WI. Pearl White, maroon leather interior. 84k. Reputable owner. Only had 5k put on in the first 4 years after purchase!

I have too much going on it August. Trish has her sister here for 1o days and that makes it hard to get away. Plus the 64 WILL be done by then. I plan on having it in about 5 weeks.

Unfortunately, I very much doubt that this will be possible for me this year. With being off work since May 22 due to my dads illness and passing away, I won't be able to schedule much time off for the next few months.

I'll take you for a spin in the 68 :3gears: maybe next summer you could plan on making it down for the Car Craft Summer Nat's. You can alway's stay at our place :beer I really want to see your 65 :TU:

I'm thinking that Saturday Sept. 9th, the weekend after labor day is a good date again. It shouldn't be overly hot out.

That will be a strong possibility if I can ever slow down my travel schedule. :Dou: There's lots of detail work that I need to do, and I've been on the road about 70% the past few months...I've never been in any hurry with it...figured on a several year process, as my play time is limited, but we're gonna try for this fall....

Hey Chris...sounds like a plan....let me know if there's anything you need. We're gone most of the month of August, but I think it'll work for us....doubt the "paperweight" will be operational, but you never know....

It is with much regret that I am not going to be able to host this gathering.
I found out on Tuesday that my Father has Cancer in both kidneys and is currently at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He has to have one kidney removed for sure and they are doing a stress test on him today to see if he would even be able to survive the procedure. Things don't look good. He has been in and out of the hospital since the end of may. I need to spend as much time with him as I can while I have time. Hopefully next year things will be better for me to put this together. Thanks for your understanding.

Chris, I've been wondering how your dad was doing. Sorry to hear of this setback. Cherish your time with your dad, and I hope that he is able to handle the procedures.

There's always next year.
