Has anyone ever seen a 58 Buick convertible with a factory installed continental kit? Does anyone have any history on this car? I have been told that it was built for Harley Earl in 58 to show at the motorama, but the motorama did not occur in 58. I am looking for pictures of this car other than the ones I have taken...What I need is verafacation of the car once belonging to Harley Earl.
I bought the car out of a junkyard in So. Cal.
Thanks for your help,
Bob

A private , local junkyard has whats left of a '58 Century convertible that had a factory looking continental kit on it. There are parts of the cont kit still on the car. I can try to get some pics and might be able to purchase that car. It is really rusty. It has been in the yard since the early 70's.

I think it is what they call a hollywood continental kit, i have seen them mounted on 58 caddy's.
Here is a 59 caddy with similar kit.
