A friend of mine has a '79 Monte carlo that he decided to part out, was a drag car, now missing the engine and trans. He was going to build it up and race it, but decided to part it out instead and I was given first dibs on parts.
The Monte has a GM 10 Bolt Posi rear end, geared 4.11. This will bolt up to my '70 Skylark without any problems, correct? It also has front disc brakes and new rear springs and shocks. is it possible to modify these to fit my skylark? Any help or information is greatly appreciated.

shocks will work. rear end might not work unless its from an abody
front disc could work but you will need the conversion ball joints
that they use for bbody disc brake upgrades
rear springs will work but might be a little light for a skylark
you would have to measure the rears and mounting points
but i believe the rear is several inches shorter

The spring pads on the monte rear axle are in a different location than what your 70 has. It may even be narrower and the control arm location might be different. However it would be a direct bolt in for a Regal/GN
