Carb Interchange

Will a 4 barrel Carter Carb, from a 1963 401 work on a 1966 401? or is the Mounting or bore different?

A '63 carb will work, but it had linkage designed for a Dynaflow transmision, so the kickdown linkage will need to be modified to work with the later ST300/400 transmissions.
