Help! I know these clutch equalizer bars (commonly known as Z bars) are hard to find and unique to the 4-speed nailhead GS. I've called a lot of wrecking yards to no avail. CARS does not have one. Does anyone have a lead on the GS Z-bar and chassis-side mounting ball/stud?? Many thanks, Dave

Is it the stamped 2-part bit that rotates on the frame or the cast bit between that one and the bellhousing?
I have an extra stamped 2-part one for the frame, but not the cast part...
Its got some wear where its bolted together.

The piece I need is painted silver in the attached photo that has been prviously posted here. It mounts on the ball on the end of the bellhousing throwout fork shaft and a ball that mounts to the chassis.

Right, you need the cast part. Hi Dan, do you have a rubber boot to cover the pivot? I have one I was thinking of getting copied. That Matt Menges bought the last NOS one I ever saw. Its on his Wildcat 4-speed. :Dou:

My convertible has its original boot in very nice shape, but the hardtop's is in tatters. I think I remember the NOS one ...it was on ebay, if I recall. If you get yours copied, I'll buy two of them. Dan

You know I was thining it would not be that hard to fab as I looked at the picture. A piece of round stock (or round with the right inner dimension) and piece of square stock would do the trick. Someone get him the dimensions off a spare!

Cheryl,
It would not be hard, if some on could post or send me some accurate dimensions I could make it.

Amen. I have the bellhousing, the 3 speed toploader, and the car. Nothing else linkage-wise.
If any one has any of these linkage parts it would be great to have dimensions. Even 3-4 photos with a rule next to the lever arms. The hardest part to make would be the throwout bearing release arm, claw, part inside the bellhousing. I wonder where the origional technical drawings could be found?
Thanks All,
-A
