Nailhead motor work ..... Detroit area

Looking for advice , names or phone numbers . Am looking for someone that rebuilds the 401 Nailhead from a 65 Skylark GS . I do not want a race motor but one that runs good and is fairly strong . Also at the same time someone who could rebuild the automatic transmission from the 65 GS . I'm in the Detroit area and would like to find someone fairly near .

I do not know about the engine ,but you might check with John Urbanik from Pointe Transmissionfor the tranny.

I talked to John at Pointe Transmission ( by the way the area code is now 586 not 810 ) and he really seemed to know what he was talking about . Even said he could do a posi rear end for me . Thanks for your help .

Try Chuck's Engines in Plymouth. He is on Mill Street north of Ann Arbor Trail. Don't have his phone number handy now. He is in the phone directory. We have used him for rebuilt engines and parts for many years, he has been around for about 20 years.
