hi,, i have a friend with a 51 buick riviera converted to 12V some time ago by the previous owner, he has this car for one week and the starter engine died,
the starter needs a replacement because it is not good enough for restoration,,,broken or burned wirings inside or/and a bad collector.
also the solenoid s working was poor.
so he need a replacement . speedshop belgium told us there are no new starter engines for that type or that year.
does anybody has a good source for getting a starter that will fitt an 51 riviera.
or is the only solution "getting a second hand starter"??
it's a Delco-Remy model nr 1107110
