Hi. I am trying to find out if a 350 chevy engine was an available option on the 78 and 79 Buick Regal.

Thanks.

Not to my knowledge, all I've seen are 3.8 V6, Turbo 3.8 V6, and Chevy 305. But then again I haven't really researched it that much.

I have a 79 owners manual, this book covers the regal and century, it does list a chevy 350 available and the vin code is L but does not say for sure if the regal got the engine or not.

Chevy 350's were available but in the full size cars, not the mid-size like a Regal.

the Regal only went up to a 301 Pontiac or 305 Chevy and the Poncho wasn't an option in 78.

Thanks for the answers everyone.

I received the following book over the weekend and it confirms that there was no 350 option, chevy or any other, on the 78-79 Regal.

I've been told by an NHRA stocker racer that the California cars got Buick 350's and he ran one in NHRA. I've not tired to follow it up but I know he ran a 78 Regal.
