Dutch buicks

Hi there.

I'm new to the site. My name is Marcel and I live in the Netherlands, this is also my excuse for the mistakes I'm going to make in my written English in the future. I just hope you forgive me.
I own two '68 buicks lesabre. One two door coupe I bought about 6 years ago here in the Netherlands and a convertible which I bought last year in Canada. There are not many of these cars around here so they make a lot of heads turn.
Both are in very good condition. Two years ago I drove my coupe to northern Italy for a 2 week vacation and it performed great, even in the alpes. The only problem over here is finding spare parts or if I have some questions to find someone who can aswer them. That is also one of the main reasons I joined this site. I hope you guys can help me out with this stuff.

I only spent a week in your fair country, but I was very impressed with Dutch hospitality. I spent my week in Rotterdam on business a couple of weeks ago, and had a wonderful time. I keep hoping someone will find a reason to ship me back there. :)

Hey Marcel-

Pretty cool to hear some big old American iron has cruised the Alps. I'll bet not too many Buicks can legitimately sport a bumper sticker saying "I climbed the Italian Alps". :laugh: Unique indeed.

I'm a new member to this forum as well, but I have to say this seems to be a great community! Best of luck keeping your Buicks in top shape. This seems to be the best place to get information to do so. I'll bet your cars are quite different to what you might normally see cruising around the Netherlands! :shock:

Great looking car, I'll bet that it does turn some heads on the other side of the pond, considering that its probably the largest car on the road and so beautiful.

Welcome! Your car looks fantastic. It must have been incredible driving a big car like that in Italy. I'm jealous. BTW, your written English is better than most people's on this side of the Atlantic. No worries. This boeard should be agreat source for parts for you and your Buicks.
