lug nut size for 66 electra

I just purchased chrome lug nuts for my 66 electra 5 on 5 bolt pattern. The guy said all G.M. cars are 7/16".. Well of course they don't fit. I think they are 1/2 with 20 thread?? Is this correct?

Your parts man thinks all GM cars a mid size Chevys. :laugh:
1/2" should do it

A bodies were 7/16 20 and I sure that is what the partsd guy was thinking. B, C and I think E Buick bodies were 1/2 inch. You of course have a C.
