2007 Contributors list

Hi Gang,

This is a list of all contributors to the site, for 2007. Due to the recent upgrades and increase in equipment and hosting fees, our projected cost for the site for 07 are right about $5200.. just like our cars, speed costs!

We had a good financial year in '06, with donations covering about 80% of the costs, but recent increases have lead me to wrestle with possible vendor charges, and other ways to create revenue to make sure the site stays financially solvent. I have never wanted to impose any fees here, and while my company (TSP) has always picked up the slack, I am hoping that we can raise enough money thru contributions so we an leave the site exactly as it is, and has always been. A free source for enthusiasts and vendors alike, to trade information and parts, to further the hobby.

And with your continued help, we can do just that.

This year, we have added a donate button to the toolbar, which appears on the top of every screen, for direct paypal donations. Or directly thru your paypal account, you can donate to jim@trishieldperf.com.

Historically, we recieve 80% of the contributions in the first two months, and if this holds true, it leaves us dramatically short of our 07 operation cost estimate of $5200..

Shortly Bucy will be implementing an alternate revenue plan, which will include some non-invasive advertising on the site, to help make up the projected shortfall for this year.

As of the date of this post, I am happy to announce that we have reached our goal for fund raising for our '07 projected operating expenses.

With the recent spur of donations from the ruckus caused by the classifieds, we now have 128 contributors (doubled the number from Dec'06-March 11 '07).

Total contributions are now 5382.18

We have reached out goal for our projected '07 expenses, further contributions/revenue this year will be fowarded to our '08 operating budget.

This is the first time, since the inception of V8Buick.com in 2002, that the board is fully self supporting.

A big thanks to all who helped us get there!
