Recently purchased a consolette for my 4 speed gs. I have no clue on how to mount or any other parts needed for the install. The consolette option was not original to the car,but I had to have it to give it that finished look. Any help? Thanks Kirk Firestone In Spokane, Wa.:3gears:

I take it your car is originally a granny tranny and has been switched to a manual. Mine is the same way. I'm not sure of the correct fastner but I just lined mine up to where the shifter had a balanced range of motion in both directions and marked the carpet around it. Then disassemble the to pieces and then used self tapping screws to bolt down the bottom plate. Be sure to have the cup with bezel or tach installed when you initially line it up to make sure they clear the dash bottom where the ash tray is. My guess is someone on the board knows the correct fastning method if this is crucial to your application.

The lag bolts are wrong:spank: It's actually a philips screw (x3) that holds it down. And if I could find the baggie they are in, I'd take a picture. The assy man shows shims used in the lower bolt and denotes that the most rear screw is omitted with AC:Do No: No idea what one has to do with the other:Do No: I've never seen the shims installed.
