Spring Location & Photos

Guys;

I have the clutch linkage done. I have two springs. One large one (if I am not mistaken, it went from the fork to the tranny cross member) and one small one (don't recall where it went). I purchased a new small spring fom OPG last year sometime. My clutch fork does not have the bracket below that has the hole in it to attach a spring. Does anyone have some photos they can share on where these springs go? The manual shows the one spring from the fork (bracket) to the frame.

PS. Does anyone have an electrical connector for the wires to the tranny? Mine is all grundgy and melted.

Hey Len! how the car coming out?? Any update pics??

The clutch return spring picture in the assembly manual shows that bracket welded to the fork, but my fork didnt have it either. I attached one end of the spring to the eyelet of the clevis pin that hold the adjuster rod to the fork. I removed the cotter pin and put the spring in instead. The other end I attached to a hole in the engine cradle. Although I dont know exaclty which hole I used. I do remember it coming very close to the exhaust manifold. The car is away in storage for the winter, otherwise I would snap a pic of it for you.

The small spring I dont believe is used in our cars. At least I dont have one in my car. It went under the dash to keep the pedal in the 'up" position on certain other cars.

I have a couple of spare harnesses, I'll look for that plug today for you. No promises, the spare harnesses I have are pretty beat up

Thanks for the info. I'll get some pictures shortly. I am working on getting the engine components on. I need the exhaust manifolds and the 7 blade fan, a couple of heater hoses and plumb the carberator; then, I can start this baby up....after three and half years. I am planning on painting it by the end of the year, then finishing the interior next year. Money permitting....
