I cant find any of these rascals on line, I dont know the rareity of them but from my searches they seem to be a little rare. I cant seem to find parts for this particular model. I dont know if it would be best to just have someone re-do the bumpers or if someone on here knows where I could find some. I have tried oldbuickparts.com, antiquebuickparts.com, buickfarm.com, and a few more. I have been trying to find an identical year and use it as a parts car but I cant find any of this model and year at all. Any suggestions or any advice would be VERY appreciated.

You won't find new bumpers.

If your bumpers are just bent and need rechroming, just have them repaired. Around here (Texas), the rechroming will run about $100-150 and rechroming & repairs ~$200-250.

If you go the used route, you'll probably spend more $. I'm GUESSING that used bumpers will go for about $150 each PLUS shipping and then you will still have to have them repaired and rechromed most likely.

There might be some shop that just has them already done and can sell them for less but I doubt it. These aren't Chevys. If you find such a shop, let me know, I need '62 pieces!

I have a 63 Electra 225 2 door in my yard. It is pretty well parted out, but it still has a rear bumper in fairly good shape. I have to look at it more closely to be sure.

Ohiostate,

You don't see too many around as there were only 6848 of them made which is only about 500 more than the Electra 225 convertible. Other than the Electra convert, Wildcat convert and the wagons, it was the lowest production model in 1963. I would also venture a guess that a number of potentially restorable 2 door hardtops have been sacrificed to restore some of the convertibles. There are only 15 2 doors registered in the most recent Buick Club of America membership roster, which is actually one less than the number of convertibles registered.

Parts cars show up on Ebay every once in a while and you might want to try WWW.wheatbeltbuick.com too. I know he was parting one out a while ago and may still have it.

Here is my '63 Electra 225 Sport Coupe at the BCA Nationals in Rochester MN last year.
