I personally own a 67 Skylark, and I know that it has smaller fenderwells, but I think the 15 x 8's are too wide for the front. I'm running 235/60/r15's on 15 x 7's with a Hotchkis Ground Zero 1 inch drop springs, and my tires rub when I turn. I'm not trying to scare you out of your wheel and tire combo, but I'd say Drop the car with the spindles first, then see how much space you have. Check your clearance with the rims and tires you have now, and see if you can go any wider. I know it's a pain in the butt to do this stuff slowly, but it's easier to order the correct backspacing and width AFTER you measure than to return your purchase because you THOUGHT it would fit. While you're swapping spindles, now would be a perfect time to throw disc brakes on it. If you need Brake swap advice, I'd be happy to help.
