This is my first ever restore on a car.. I have a 64 wildcat the door panels are toast. I was on a website that is selling 64 skylark door panels. Does anyone out there know if these would match??? Help me out please.

Bryant:
Unfortunately, no one repops the door panels. At least they don't for my 65. I had mine rebuilt and they turned out unbelievable. They are basically new with the exception of the metal trim peices. I had them done by SMS Auto Fabrics out of Oregon. http://www.smsautofabrics.com I think all 4 panels were $850. That was for a convertible. Not cheap but, the turn out great and where else ya gonna go?
I'm happy with my set.

Not even close, the Skylark and Wildcat are like night and day in size.
Take the door panels to your upholsterer, if he is any good he can reproduce the for you.
I had both my 63 and 64 done this way, and they look incredible.

I have also used SMS, and they do fantastic work. I happen to be lucky and find an upholsterer that was willing to do this. I didnt say though that it was cheaper, theres nothing cheap when you fabricate from scratch

SMS sent me a set of samples of everything needed to replace the interior. Everything was top notch. My only complaint was the headliner material is a thin plastic not the woven cloth used. They even included color copies of two different interiors to aid in a match.

Hi Guys
SMS also makes a close match for trunk liner for buick also, I cant find anyone that repros the woven cloth type stuff. As for door panels, the vinyl was good so we took them off, peeled the vinyl real careful and cut new board from a pattern of the old one. and it looks like new.

Gary,
Try this on the trunk fabric. I've dealt with this guy before and no problem at all.
