>>Hi Gary. Try Bill Hirsh automotive paints - they have a website - just do a search on the net. I recently bought their high temp engine spray paint for my '71 Skylark intake and the color was excellent.

All the Bill Hirsh Buick Red I have seen turns out pink. Unless they have changed their formula I would avoid it. I am not he only person that has made that observation.
Some other options for the green are discussed here:

>>Hi Jim. Do you mean pink from as soon as you spray it or after a long while on your engine? I painted the top half of my engine with Bill Hirsh red a few years back and it is still red. The intake I just sprayed was also red.

The only time I used it it looked pink after being sprayed on. I then asked around here and I found some others that had the same experience. So I removed it before the engine was run and used DH 1608. Most use that and D Manner stated it appears correct. I have used DH 1608 many times with great results.

Gary,
Here's an intake I recently painted using the DupliColor DE1618. It appears to me that it's a little lighter than the factory Buick green but I don't really have anything else to compare it to. I'm into the nailhead RED colors.....
Hope it helps!

I wanted to say how much I appreciate the help, they should figure a search plan to find old info in the archives, if so I havent figured it out yet. The way to help me more is to come over and paint it for me. lol
Thanks Again

I saw a post by SMartin of a 59 Electra (?) engine he painted with the Buick green paint from CARS. Nice results, I thought.
