Want to say hello to everyone as I'm new to the v8buick website. Wnat an unbelieveable amount of data here - its a bit overwhelming...
I've been quietly collecting Buicks and parts for the past several years while nurturing babies, working and finishing that degree (promised my mom I would). Anyway, schools coming to an end and it's time to learn about the finer things in life - Buicks!
I currently own 3 - 1970 Stage 1 cars one of which is a GSX. The others are a 4-speed and an auto. The auto car is getting her body work done now and I hope to be enjoying it at the Buick 100th this July! The 4-speed will be next (it has a 67 switch pitch in it now and I'm assembling parts to put her back to her glory!) Things I need to learn are what is the correct 4 speed trans input/output shaft wise, is it a wide ratio M-21 or a close ratio and probably a bunch of stuff I don't even know to ask...
Looking forward to making some new friends!
Steve

Hi Steve -

Welcome to the board! As you can see, there is a wealth of knowledge and sharing here. Glad to have you.

I returned your e-mail pertaining to the Stage1 registry. Thanks for the interest.

Most Muncie transmission codes that people posted here to decipher were M21 close ratio transmissions (including my own).
