OK I have a 57 buick special 2 door hardtop with a dynoflow tranny i was wondering since i dont really perfer a dynoflow is there any kind of 3 or 4 speed auto transmission that would bolt on to my 364 nailhead please help or give advice ive herd so much bs

The 364 is basically the same as a 401 or 425 so a th400 out of one of those should bolt right up.:Smarty: :TU:

If your car has the torque tube its more involved, better check this out, also the crank is different, needs to be modified to bolt up to the ST400 torque converter. Do a search, this info is covered by other threads on this board.

Yes you have the torque tube driveline, not just a take it out and bolt in a new tranny deal. It all depends on what you want out of the car. One of the list members has put a complete Jag front and rear suspension under his ride.
There are options just depends on what you want and how much you want to spend and what you can do.
The Dynaflow "must" be rebuilt by someone who know them. There are a few still around.
