I sure seems like everyone has been quiet about this event. What kind of turnout are we looking at? Or, is everyone too busy trying to get ready? :Do No:

The crowd from Dallas either has too many races to attend throughout the year so this one doesn't mean much to them or they are getting soft..... :bla:  :bla:
Carl see you There! some people are out of the loop at the moment but it will be fun regardless.:3gears:

I just got in from Maine and I see that the turnout might be low???!!!
What?
This is the primo event of the year in Texas, isn't it?
I hope everybody comes...
Welcome back from Maine Frank! I know it was only for a couple days! I will give you a ring this morning. The event is always a blast even if some of the regular are out of the loop but I think most of the core group will be there and we have some of the Oldsmobile guys there also. It's good to have them also.:TU:

For Those that missed it, YOUR LOSS!!!!!!!!!!!:Dou:
Good turn out considering the fact it was a Rain Date, Unknown Track, and some other problems, BUT the Even Went SMOOTH, and a GREAT time was Had By ALL, Both at the Track & the Motel.:TU: :TU:
Times Got Interesting, and Good Runs, Good PAY OUTS (Not the "Well, our Expenses were more than expected, so Here is 1/2, and we'll put the Balance to Next Years Kitty" that I have heard from a Certain "Big Event" in a State that begins with a "K".):eek2:
OUTSTANDING JOB Phil!!:TU:
A Special THANKS to Frank Brooks for the FINE BBQ ETC. AND
For allowing me to Run his Wildcat, that I had Never seen, let alone been in.
2nabot, "We're Gunning for You":Smarty:
Thanks Frank.:TU:

Thanks JR for the comments. Remmember I am just the person who puts the show together. It is the people who decide if it is worth their effort to participate that make this event fun. Thanks to everyone that came and I hope everyone had a great time.

Ahhh, go ahead and rub it in! It'll go well with the gear lube in my hair. (Odd, but my wife doesn't seem to appreciate the lovely aroma of 80-90W as much as I do...)
Sorry I missed all the fun...but on the flip side, my rear end is feeling much better now!

Guess I left myself wide open for that one... :Dou:
Now I can't think of anything witty in response...guess I'll just have to go with the old standby: "Oh, Yeah?"

I had a great time at the event! Rode in Franks Wildcat with JR. I had to fight the G-Force blackout but it was a kick.
The most dissapointing thing was I didn't bring my car. If the next event doesn't fall during tax time my cat will be there finished or not. I was looking forward to seeing the 2nabot. There is always next time.

YOU BUICK BOYS ROCK....:TU:
Wish the Olds crowd was as enthusiastic about that kind of event! :Do No:
I really enjoyed meeting y'all, and running with some guys that have their stuff together. I've been to a few events (like Temple) and was less than impressed...but y'all have a handle on it now!
I'll be there for the next event, if y'all will allow the Olds Quadrajet Madness back for another round. Hopefully with the tuned QuadQuad setup on the car! :Brow:
I'm gonna spread the word, that we need some kind of Southern Buick/ Olds/ Pontiac showdown so we can have more than 25 cars (23 of them Buick / Olds) and maybe get a pretty good turnout.
Thanks again for all y'all did, killa cars, killa event!
Until then...keep the shiny side up!

Here are a few pics of the Olds Quadrajet Madness car and my 72 Stage 1 that I bought during high school in 1980.
We had a great time. Thanks again to Phil Green, David Newton, JR Wills, Frank Brooks, and Jeff Horsman for everything.:TU:
