gas is part of it, just went by a couple of stations, they went up 20 cents, from 3.14,to 3.34. :eek2: makes premium for my car 3.54   :af:
also, no trailer. soooooo, we'll hope for next year
for now, I'll have to stay close to home with it,attend the usual 3 or 4 car shows near me this summer

Yeah that's about 120 miles from wichita, that's a pretty good drive:eek2:

with the price of gas like it is now is really effecting a lot of business's like race tracks, camp sites, etc. etc. it sucks..........

yes,it is
the ga$ price$ are affecting a lot of things, I bet attendance at car shows will be down too, so I'll go to the ones closest to Me, ones within a 25 mile radius

maybe next year will be better

I believe it is $10 to watch and the pits are open. You can go hang with any of the racers and check out the cars. :beers2:

I'm doing some work to my Skylark to get it ready to race, but I am not sure if it will be ready for the Footbrake race or not. I hope to be able to race it at some of the local events this year. :3gears:

Yeah, I was there. It was my first time racing, and I loved it.

I figured out that I needed to do some work on my car before I raced it again, but I didn't realize how much work I had to do. I have already replaced both the heads on my 455, because they were both cracked when I raced. That problem didn't show up until later, and the heads I put on it are just a temporary fix until I get my new engine built. I have some other things I want to do, but it should be good to go after I get the engine in.
