55 super 322 engine and tranny swap

I have the opportunity to obtain a rebuilt 264 and the tranny from a 55 Buick Special. I want to install it into a 55 Super that currently has a blown 322. Is this a straight forward swap? Motor mounts the same? Tranny length? Any issues? I am a novice but have experienced help available. Any advice would be appreciated.

I am not positive but I believe the transmission is longer in the Super then the Special. Just use the Special engine and the Super tranny and it should work fine. Brian

I agree with Brian.The 55 Super is heavier then the Special , 322 versus 264 and the stock H.P. 236 super- 174 ( ? )special.
