69 Gs350

I have a stock 69 GS350 and wanted to know if anyone has gone to a larger and wider rear tire in a ralley style wheel like the salt flats (they're close/similar) or ralleys, what the widest I could go that fits up inside the wheel well. Back-spacing, etc...

I would use a 15X8 with 4-4.5" bakcspace rim in rear with 275/50/15.

Not sure if it'll answer what you want or not (I got tired of reading the whole thing).

By the way, I used to live in Pearl City and Aiea when I was stationed at Pearl back in the early 80's. I sure do miss it.
