I basically wanted to show people where I got my inspiration for the 1967 Riviera. Here's how it started, my pops bought his brand new in 1968 for about $5000. He had it for a couple of years, my brother and sister got to ride in it, my family used to take trips in it, but because I wasn't born until 15 years later, I didn't get to be apart of it. My pops later GAVE IT AWAY to my uncle who then sold it someone.
Ever since a about 5 years ago, my dad always mentions to me how much he loved his Riviera and that someday he'd get another one, and this time he wasn't going to get rid of it. So I did some searching for a couple of Rivieras in our area, I check out a couple but the people selling theirs were asking RIDICULOUS prices for them, and they weren't even in good condition. That's until I found this one. I bought MY Riviera about 2 years ago, so that way my dad can have his Riviera again. Me and him spend so much time together working on it. So not only does it bring back memories for him, but now I get to create new ones with him.
I'm also planning on having the car painted by next year. Its going to be painted two toned, the same "plum" purple with a black top. Ill be posting more pics on the door panels i reupholstered myself which turned out better than i thought it would. Also, ill have vids on my trunk and floorpan restoration process.
