Drache's post got me wondering so I went out and looked for the VIN tag. All I saw was the cowl tag which has the VIN on it. Is there another tag that I missed?

If you look thru the windshield in the lower drivers side corner you should see the VIN tag.

Look where Chris stated.

The cowl doesn't contain the entire VIN (no 6 digit serial #). It does contain...

Style (model year)
Model
Fisher Body plant (should be near final assembly plant)
Fisher Body number - no relation to VIN
Trim code (interior)
Paint code (both upper and lower)
Body assembly date
