Need HELP!!! 1972 Skylark

I'M TRYING TO REMOVE THE FRONT MIDDLE SPEAKER. THE RADIO IS OUT. HOWEVER, THE MIDDLE AIRDUCK (ac car) IS IN THE WAY. I REMOVED THE TWO 3/8 SCREWS TO REMOVE THE BOTTOM VENT(S). IT APEARS THAT THERE IS A SCREW HOLDING THE TOP OF THE MIDDLE VENT. CAN'T GET AT IT. IS THERE A WAY TO REMOVE????

Do you have the dash pad off? If you pull the dash pad, there are 2 screws underneath it holding the middle duct. Remove those and it will let you pull the middle duct out and give you access to your front speaker.

What do you need to do to pull the pad? Screws or clips?? Easy job??

funny i just took that out on my 66 buick skylark yeah it was a bitch i took out my glove box years ago cause it was rotted out so i have easy access i had to get my my back with my head right by the heater core and remove the 4 little 10mm or so nuts then it comes right out.. i never had a/c so i don't know what vent but if you need help i could prolly help

Taking off the pad wasn't too bad. If I can do it, anyone can. The pics helped.
