Freind says he heard of late 60s rally wheels that were just like the regular
chrome w/ black inner, only were painted silver with no chrome and had trim ring.
I have never seen one except the rallys that had a dog dish center with a trim ring used on some disc brake option cars like the 67 GSs.
Anyone seen something like this with no poverty cap in the middle?

Thanks Ed, Are those trim rings on the wheels? It's is hard to tell from the pic. The center looks black in the pic.

Yes, they are trim rings and grey in the center. They were the super sport wheel and are 14" wheels.

I also have painted rally wheels on my 66 Skylark, that I recently bought on ebay. They are 15 x 7 NOS, came in the original GM boxes. Date on one of the boxes is 1975.
According to one source, the color is argent silver, same as Chevy rally wheels.
Since I only got 2, I'm looking for 2 more...

Love these 14" super sport wheels. They must be hard to come by a good set. I never was able to purchase a suitable set........still looking. Thanks for posting the good pictures of the wheels. Jim
