Vacum?

Howdy, Got my engine a 401 running on all eight cylinders now, the problem was the intake gaskets that was leaking. But I still cant accelerate, then he stalls, the vacum is about 9 in slow idle and 16 in fast idle. Anybody out there who knows what it normaly should be?
