Clutch pedal push rod

I've just installed a tremec five speed in a 72GS (455) using the Buick 455 Buick 455 bellhousing. I purchased all the linkage from OPG and after installing it, I find that the clutch pedal push rod (15 1/4" long) is too long by 3". Any one know what the measurement should be or maybe I received the wrong part.

Thanks for the measurement and photo. I'm using a buick bell housing with a brandnew clutch. Gues I'll just have to play with and see what adjustments I can make. Thanks again for the reply.
