Can one of these things handle 600+ ftlbs at relatively low rpm assuming there is good traction?
Thanks.

Hey Guys,
Super T-10 with nodular iron case, mid-plate, high nickel gears and 2.43 or 2.64 1st will take some abuse, but 600 lb. ft. is really pushing it.

Well, at least not your average "high performance" manual transmission that came stock in the car.
There are other manual transmissions that can survive the abuse.
And I suppose this means automatic transmissions never break. :puzzled:

Wouldn't an M-22 Rock Crusher be the tranny of choice for 600hp?

It probably would be. But unfortunatley the way life goes (raisng kids and all), the Super T-10 was all I could afford.

A rock crusher still has the same poorly cast aluminum case as the M21 and M20. It'll split from stretch too, perhaps not as soon with less helical cut gears, but it will eventually.
