53 Special manual Trans swamp, who can help?

I wanna change the manual transmission of my 53 special. the reason is the column shifter, i don´t like it and it must be replaced cause the linkage is bad.

so my questions:

- is there a manual transmission wich is easy to swamp?

- can i change the linkage on the old transmission to get a floor shifter?

- i ve also a S-10 4gear manual trans in stock. would it fit with adapter kit?

Your trans is a model which had what was called selector shift. The only ones that I know who made the floor shift conversions was a company called Anson. There is a post on this page that will give you a site to go to and it explains it better.
