Fender skirts don't like

I am looking at a 67 skylark that has these. I think they are ugly and would immediatly remove them. Is this what you would suggest, and what are the ramifications - suppose chrome would have to be modified etc. Thanks

If they are real skirts, don't they just unbolt, and then the wheel opening is the same as a non-skirt car? You'll have to find the correct chrome, I'd never try to modify it- someone will probably buy the skirts and chrome for you. If it's your car, and you don't like the skirts- ditch 'em.
