Wow, I am so glad to see other Christians that share my love of Buicks.
I just wanted to praise Christ for making himself so available to us. We no longer have to approach God through a Priest for he dwells in all who have faith in him. We have become his house!!!

I'm definitely glad we have this forum on this board! There are far too many boards that I've visited, that absolutely won't allow this kind of discussion!
Of course...there aren't really any other boards that compare to this one!

I'll also take a stand as a Christian! Greatest decision I ever made seven years ago. Never knew such peace and contentment since that day! Amazes me that many go through life looking for various ways to fulfill a need and/or to look for happiness without coming to Christ. My wife and I and in the middle of a learning series at our Church on soul winning. It is really a blessing! Give thanks to him each and every day, pray, and know that he watches over you.
Now I also love pure Buick torque and love to serve myself doses of it daily in my two Buicks!
Hi Guys: Praise GOD for Any type of old car fans Especially Buick People. I saw a deal on TV about What Would JESUS Drive, Cute huh? I don't know the answer for sure but Harley Earl came back and he is pushing BUICKS, think he's on assignment?I would like to add for car people your ATTITUDE is more IMPORTANT than your WORDS! We all need to remember this at car shows when we feel that the judges are not fair, the show is set up for the home club, somebody TOUCHED my car, ETC. We are to SHOW as well as to TELL ! I'm Not picking on anyone just giving myself a reminder! I would like to add my thanks to this site for being so open to all and a place where we can all share our love for those things that are important to us!!
May you be in Heaven a month before the Devil knows you're gone!

I gave my life to Christ nearly ten years ago. Its the coolest. I'm far from perfect, but I'm forgiven. Now if I could just quit saying bad words everytime the worn gas struts let the hood fall on my head! Seriously, salvation through Jesus is the foundation of my marriage and fatherhood. The cars are just a fun bonus for our time on earth.

That's great!
Did you ever wonder about the other people -the happy non-christians on the planet? How is it that they are happy and fulfilled as well? Did you ever wonder why prayer works for (nearly) everyone - wether they are Christian Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Bhuddist, Native American, etc? The reason is that we all are praying to ONE GOD in the end.
There is only One God. We should never condemn people of other faiths. This "burn in hell" BS has got to stop.

Sbbuick,
I would have to disagree with the prayer thing. If I'm not mistaken, natives pray to multiple gods (i.e. rain god, sun god etc..). If Muslims are praying to destroy Christianity, they aren't praying to the same God we are. Jews are praying for God to send the Messiah when he already did. He also told them to listen to Christ (Matt. 17:5).
The fact is, yes, there is only One God. But there is only One Christ, One Saviour, One Messiah. And Christ is the only door to eternal salvation. God sends his rain on the righteous and unrighteous.... Doesn't matter if the natives' rain god answer's them

You are mistaken. An example of a Native American Prayer:
O Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds, whose breath gives life to all the world - Hear me! I am so small and weak, I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty, make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people.
Let me learn the lessons you have hidden in every leaf and rock.
I seek strength, not to be greater than my Brother, but to fight my greatest enemy - Myself.
Make me always ready to come to you with clean hands and straight eyes -So when life fades, as the fading susnset, My Spirit May Come To You Without Shame.
To me, this does not sound like the babble of fools. Everyone has their own opinions, however.

How can you know? Did your God personally tell you so?
I am not trying to say what or who is right here.
I am saying that we should be more open minded.
Any church that tells me that "Everyone else is condemned to "Hell"" will never be seeing me again. How closed minded is it to say that "We are right, everyone else is wrong" AND to top it off - state that all of those "other non-believers" are to be condemned into a "Hell" that the others don't even believe in?
Most organized religions tell you not only what to believe - they tell you what to think, what you can and cannot question, etc..
Where else in life do we Americans let others tell us that to think and believe?? NOWHERE.
Free the mind and find your own spiritual path. We all know that it is Good to question others...
Oops, except when it comes to religion??

Firstly I am only going to comment here to you this one more time. Since you choose to be anonymous I really hate talking to a screen name not a real person.
How can you know? Did your God personally tell you so?
What book has been the same thoughout the years without any change of meaning............................ Thats right the bible.
Yes God did speak to me!!! No it wasnt like on the phone or in person but the open mind you talk of is mine not yours. It takes more of a closed mind to try to convince someone that God and Jesus are non exsistant than to open the mind and see that what I say is more true than you can ever see. I was just like you about 8 years ago however I had a small incident that happened (not life changing) Let me tell you my story
I helped a friend that was drunk home I was not.. I came home at midnight from outof town and found a hard rocking station and they came on between song to tell me about Jesus... WHAT A JOKE is what i was thinking!!!!! Well later that weekend I told a pastor who came to visit my house to get the F--- off my property. I was in the middle of serving my wife divorce papers and my body shop was having problems finding good help. One of my customers who was another one of those pastors came in to check on his car, and noticing I was stressed out and asked if he could pray for me...."Whatever" is my responce. So he did
My Lord God I pray to you now,
I want to take this time to pray for this man who is obviously stressed out from the life he has. Please Lord show him how easy it is, to let you help him with his life. Show him that running from your love is not the answer. Show him the wisdom that you possess , Lord and only you can give out freely the wisdom that he seeks. If it be your will Lord I ask you now to open the doors that need to be opened and shut those that need to be closed. Lord and now as I close I am going to issue this man, a very good man a small challenge that if he will seek you for 7 days that you will show him everything he needs to know about life.
In Jesus presious name
amen
He just asked me to pray once a day for 7 days even if I just ask what up today God that God will show me everything......
Well I can say after he left my shop I was think yea right
Later that day I had about an hour between coats of paint and so I said "whats up God is Bob correct will your wisdom be shown to me??"
Well That night I went home my wife was criing as always and so I for some reason felt like I should ask why :Do No: (Glutton for more punishment) And she said that she had had enough bickering and she wanted to find out why I wanted to stay at work so long and was needing to be gone all the time.. What answer could I give her???? Maybe 2 kids and morgage were taking their toll?? I sat down just like before we got married and talked to her for 3 hours about who what when and why we laid it all out on the table.
She told me she had been going to church 2 times and after 13 years of marrage she still wanted to be married..... to me. WOW I was fooled I guess... SO that weekend I went out late to the BLVD to race a chevy geek with my Typhoon and on the way home I ran across that station that I had heard earlier in the month. And they said
All you have to do is ask Jesus to guide your life and then he will do the rest. Then as an act of obediance you should be babtized.
Well that sounded almost too easy but did I listen ??? NO
I went on a few weeks and as I went along I was offered a job then another guy asked to buy some of my equipment.. where did that all come from???? Coincedence hUM let me think ...NOT.
Ok so now I guess I thought since my wife was going to church I should go and see what all the hub ub was about. I go and the pastor says the same thing almost to the word....
All you have to do is ask Jesus to guide your life and then he will do the rest. Then as an act of obediance you should be babtized.
WOW thats 2 times
Later I went to Bible study class before the sermon what do they say in the study?? Thats right
All you have to do is ask Jesus to guide your life and then he will do the rest. Then as an act of obediance you should be babtized.
3 times Do I listen NO but I am starting too.
I go about another year before i said the words OK GOD YOU NOW HAVE CONTROL OF ME DO WHAT YOU WISH!!!! Then I got baptized and the rest is history
I saved the family married for over
20 years and stronger than ever....
Successfull management job was easy to obtain (another story)
All I can say is if GOD can take a closed minded person who thought just like you do now (I am talking about myself) Yes Im talking now about you,
look at your life and tell me that MY GOD JESUS CHRIST could not ever improve your life. I issue you a challenge anytime you can start is ok with me. YOU WILL NEED THAT OPEN MIND YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE............ I challenge you to ask God to show you something that isnt in your control and he can show you that he is in control over. Sounds simple. for 7 days if you have an open mind it will be obvious to you who is in control, you or GOD???
GOD WILL ANSWER ALL PRAYERS!!!!!
We as man may not like the answer but he always answers prayers. I will pray for the nameless poster sbbuick

The older I get the more these things sadden me. I hope this impacts you
enough to realize.....what is going on (if you don't already know), what
must be done and that this should be shared. God bless you.....OOOPS.
This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at
Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee, by school Principal, Jody
McLoud I thought it was worth sharing with the world and hope you will
forward it to all your friends. It shows clearly just how far this country
has gone in the wrong direction.
"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games,
to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country."
Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a Prayer
is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I
can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an
alternate lifestyle," and if someone is offended, that's OK.
I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity, by dispensing condoms and
calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK.
I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an
unborn baby as a "viable means of birth control." If someone is offended, no
problem.
I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in
activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and
call it "ecology."
I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict
people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and
"ignorant" and call it "enlightenment."
However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and to ask Him to bless
this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is
violated.
This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.
Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except God and
His Commandments.
Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to
abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do
otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I
suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need
to add an intentional transgression.
For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is
Caesar's," and refrain from praying at this time.
"However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank God and ask Him,
in the name of Jesus, to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far
as I know, that's not against the law----yet."
One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one
another and began to pray.
They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at
the concession stand and they prayed in the Announcer's Box!
The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United
States of America - the Seat of "Justice" in the "one nation, under God."
Somehow, Kingston, Tennessee remembered what so many have forgotten. We are
given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion. Praise God
that His remnant remains!
Celebrate Jesus in 2003!
Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of Me before men, then I will be ashamed of
you before My Father."
If you are not ashamed, pass this on, but only if you mean it.
Yes, I do Love God. He is my source of existence and Savior. He keeps me
functioning each and every day. Without Him, I will be nothing, but with
Him, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13

What a great post,thanks Mike.
 Mike: I agree wih your post and am glad you wrote it. Yes, it is difficult for unbelievers to accept JESUS as the SON OF GOD from the scriptures because they are spiritually blind. The ONE GOD vs THE TRINITY has been an ongoing discussion among denominations forever! I also find it sad that we live in a "FREE" country unless you are a Christian. The amendment to the constitution on this issue reads" Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibit the free exercise thereof". Allthough Congress may not do it it appears that the Supreme Court can! I wonder how all of our congressmen and senators got by with praying outside the senate after9/11, maybe the Supreme Court figured it was just a good photo op for most of them so no harm, no foul. I know here in the state of Indiana there is talk of putting church property on the tax rolls and also pastors must be careful what they say from the pulpit or the ICLU will get them! I don't know how much more FREEDOM we can stand!
I would like to add, like you, I AM NOT ASHAMED OF GOD OR HIS SON AND MY SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST!! TO HIM be all glory, power and praise. To all nonbelivers I say count your blessings that you live in the USA and not some middle eastern country because they would be as intolerant of you as you are of us!!!!!
GOD BLESS JAKE

Thanks for sharing your testamony Michael, I was touched. Its a reminder to us Christians to make sure other people know that we are Christians. If we show others our love they will soften their views towards us. And if we come out as Christians, as I have on this board, it makes us watch what we say and how we act. Its a good way of keeping our sinful nature in check.
