Dropping in a 430 from a 69 riviera - Installed the frame mounts from TA Performance as well. Have the motor dropped in, lined up with tranny but am about 4" off on the mounts. They are no where close to lining up with the frame mounts. Any thoughts? Does anyone know (for certain) if the motor mounts can install in 2 positions on the 430? or am i missing something else all together?

To which set of holes on the block did you attach the mounts?

The motor mounts were cherry when removed from the riviera - so I didnt pull them off at all. They are in the stock location for a 69 Riviera. Are there 2 sets of mounting holes?

Yes...better take a second look, and check that you're not still using the Riv oil pan.

I changed the pan and pick up tube to rear sump already. I tried to search for pics on line of a 430-455 motor. I it looks like there are 4 holes for motor mounts - which would mean 3 possible positions - is this right?
