Would they be different than the ones CARS sells ? I have them , but haven't installed them yet. I've been told they aren't that great, but like I said, I didn't use them yet.:Do No:

Excellent idea....you should be able to sell quite a few sets.
Are you going to make the front mounting strip?

Thats easy to do too, most likely I will need too.

I'm in for a few sets Mike. I'm sure they will be of better quality than the "crap" thats available now. Correct diameter too.

What do these look like? I need the upper mounting hooks (the look like discs with little hooks on them) for the 64-65 Riviera rocker moulding and I have a hunch these might be the same and if not work well enough for me since I'm building a restro mod not a restoration.

Thanks,

Just talked to the tool and die guy. Looks like the stamper is about done. Should have these to make inside of 3-4 weeks

Also note that I have the rocker straps available now.

What are the straps you keep talking about? My cars both only came with the discs holding the rocker panel mouldings on the car. The discs are the same for the '64 and '65 Skylark as well as the '65 GS.

On the 70-72 it has a strap of metal with a lip on the top to slide the molding over it. It is on the fender and backwards about 15 inches total. Sorry I dont have a picture of one yet, maybe someone has one for us to look at.

I have the proto type disc's done now. The disc's ended up being 115 thous larger than we were supposed to be but when I installed the moldings to Mike Mullens GS they worked perfect. These are 20 guage galvanized. So rust shouldnt be a probelm for quite some time.

The tooling was more than anticipated and so I will edit this as soon as I get the pricing for the Tooling. That will determine what the overall cost is for these as a set of 10 per car. I also was going to look into the correct bolts to use with them..

The discs are 1.75 starting out. After pressed they are .100 larger than the original and fit the molding better to keep it tighter.

Straps are. here.. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=142556

Paypal? USPS Money Order? I sell enough for the car as a kit. 10 is the magic number. Do you need the straps that go across the fender?? I can figure out the shipping if so.
