Anyone have any opinions on what book to buy, to understand my Holley 4150? I have an HP 1000, and want a good book to read over the Winter, to tune my Holley next year. I want to tune it for power, and for driveability.
Is there such a book out there, that will teach me both? Or am I better off buying a couple. I will have more time to read, and less to drive, from here on out. Thanks.
Regards, John.

By the way, I bought a new holley (1000 HP 4150) from Summit Racing in 1999-2000, I believe. I could never get the thing running right. Years later I had the car on a dyno and the operator detected problems with the carb. He took it off turned it upside down and found that the base was for a 750.
The Holley techs said that could never happen and after I sent them the carb, low and behold, I got an apology from the managment and a new carb sent the next day!
The manager said the carb will be setting on his desk for a long time to come to show the crew that they even make mistakes. I asked him if he could tell how many others are having problems like mine. He wouldn't comment.

Thanks Rick,
Do you mean the Power tuning one, or the Holley handbook one?

I have this one http://www.amazon.com/Holly-Carburetors-Manifolds-Injection-HP1052/dp/1557880522/ref=sr_1_6/102-0929635-1486565?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1194954235&sr=8-6
It has helped me a lot. Covers not just the 4150 carb but the whole intake subject and some of the others as well, like the 4500 for example, and some mods.
