Can I get these on the rear with no rubbing or modifications?
Do all the repop wheels come from the same place regardless if you order from year one, partsplace, etc.

You want a 15 x 8" wheel with a backspacing of 5-1/8" to 5-1/4".
Each car differs just a bit due to the locating of the rearend.
Its a tight fit but it can be done.

So I will be able to fit the rims on with out modifcations. I am not trying to be lazy but I dont know if there is a way to measure it. I just dont want to do anying triming. Do you know how big of a tire that is possible to go with?
I just got done reading some of the repop wheels form. Do you know what the prices are going for.
Thanks.

Measure both sides,on my Riv just fitted 10" 275s there is nearly 1/4" diff.
on inner lip Measurement. One side clears the other I might have to roll a bit.

I tried to fit a pair of 275/60/15's on the back of my '69 once. They were mounted on 15x8 rallye wheels that were on a buddies '70 GS. I cannot remember the backspacing on them. (probably between 4.75" and 5")
On a 68 GS we put 275/60/15 quicktimes and 29.5x9 slicks on aftermarket cheap aluminum wheels with a 5.5" backspacing. We had to use a 5/16" spacer to clear the inner frame. The rear axle was also a 12bolt. I cannot verifiy if it is the same width as the 8.2" that would come in a stock 68/69.
245's will fit no problems on stock 4.5" backspace. 255's should also fit fine.

It was a tight fit. We had to lift the chassis quite high and ubolt the shock from the axle to make enough clearance for the tire to get up into the well.
I once went to a club meet at LACR dragstrip and brought the slicks but a small 2 ton jack. It would not lift the chassis high enough for me to get the slick in the well, I had to race on street tires. (lotsa fun with a bored out 455 with a sweet set of ported heads and a 4.11 12bolt)
