I'm new to the Buick world. I'm getting a 70 'lark with rallye rims and I'm told that they're from an '80 Regal. The car is immobile because one of the old 225 tires blew out, and I don't own it yet. I'm assuming that they have a 4.5" backspace.

Ok, question - Using these 15"x7" rims, will I be able to put on 235/60Rs in front and 255/60Rs in back, or is that too much for a 7" rim to handle? If so, does that sound like a good combo?

Thanks, Darryl

those tires will fit on 15x7 with no problem especially on a 70-72 Skylark. Bob

You can easily fit 245/60R15's on the front and 275/60R15's on the rear. I've had most every size of rim and tire on my car.

I'm currently running 15x10's on the rear with 325/50R15 tires and a 225/60R15 on the front that is a V-rated tire. Those T/A radials are only rated to about 112 mph.

I've decided to go with a 225/255 combo, BFG T/A. I'm not going to be hitting speeds that high just yet, and I got a good deal through a friend. Thanks!!
