Gorgeous, as clean as clean can be. I would love a ride someday.
Tell us about the combo...have you considered an SP1 intake? I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

autometer sport comp. if you have the blank panel in the dash you can cut out the circle and this tach snuggle fits in the hole that is left.

Isn't there a silver ring that sticks out on the front of that brand of tach? So you must of cut that off to get the tach to sit flush in there?

Here's how Larry and others have done it:

What did you do for frame prep? The finish on that frame is as good as I have ever seen. Did you blast it or just use a rust converter like Por 15?

Actually his car already got quite a bit of good publicity. Not in a magazine but on youtube. He made us Buick owners proud by humbly beating a SL65 Mercedes in a quarter mile stretch of back road. I find it interesting though how the video for that has now disappeared off of Youtube. What I would give to get that video in my ipod !!! Lot of people must of gave the SL65 kid a hard time. That's the only reason I can think that it's gone. What great Buick representation though !!! :TU: :TU: :TU: John Biggs.

WOW! Beautiful build. :TU:
I would love my '69 to have that look and suspension upgrades. Where are you guys getting the cowl hoods for the GS and skylark?
Any idea where to get the 69 hood? I know a few guys on here have them...just thought you might know.
Thanks.

Mike, US body source makes cowl hoods for the 70-72 but not for the 69. I havn't come across ones for the 69 but im sure there must be a place that sells them. You could always graft a steel pro-cowl induction scoop which is also sold by US body source.

thanks jon. I know some cars have them but i can't find them for sale. I would graft one but a bolt on fiberglass would be ideal. I will keep searching thanks.

Sweet ride - kicks but too!
Those zr1 wheels - what rim width, backspacing front and rear - what size are the tires? Are you running an adapter for the bolt pattern to fit the buick 5x4.75 or ?
Did you have to do any trimming or any suspension clearence issues?
I like the clean lines and aggressive look of it and considering doing something as well.
thanks, Dan C.:TU:

Beautiful car, I want to take mine in a similar direction. How many protouring Buicks do you see? Everyone just wants to sacrifice ride and handling for quarter mile times:Smarty: Heck I wouldn't mind having poor 60's If I had a comfortable, safe car while doing so:TU:
How is the ride quality with those wheels and suspension components?

Ride is nice my spring rates are not to harsh and the blitstein shocks work well my car will still rip at the 1/4 mid low 11s on street tires -1.8 60ft put good slicks and I bet it would do a 1.6
