high idle

my 3800 idles around 2K and there is no vacume leak. The IAC appears to be running in reverse. Replaced IAC and have same problem. Problem began while car was sitting and idiling. Two reputable mechanics have yet to find cause.

what year is your car? have it checked for any trouble codes. many things could cause this problem, including a faulty TPS SWITCH, which stands for throttle position sensor.

what model and milage
i have seen idle air control(iac valve)
but i have seen on those the throttle body shaft wears out and cuases a vacuum leak at the shaft/throw off tps sensors
