70 Riviera Wheel Tire Combo Sizes

Are there any 70 Riviera owners who can tell me what tire sizes will fit, wheel widths and back spacing requirements?
I am thinking of 17 X 8 with 255 or 275 50 17 tires or larger iff possible. I am also not concerned if the wheel sizes and tires need to differ front/back.

Hi , My neighbour when I lived up in Northern On. had a customized
70 Riv, he had 17" rims with 255 - 45 - 17 tires on back and 235 - 45 -17
on the fron.He was running 8" wide rims as well.He did not have the rear wheel covers on his car however, but I don't think that should matter.
