4.5" on a 8" wheel and 5.5" on a 10" wheel to center them in the wheel wells.

Thanks Artie. I was up in your neck of the woods this past weekend. I was in Hamilton to pickup an engine from Al.

Just remember that these cars were not build to exacting specs and cars can vary by 1/4" or so. I run the 15x10's, but had to get 5-5/8" backspacing to make it work right.

So what do the Hoosier 28X10 work out to in metric. I am also looking at a set of MT ets 28X10.5 they are about the same. I found some 15X10 drag lites with a 5 3/8" offset will they work?

Man, I like what I am seeing.
Phillip, are those 10" ralley type wheels? Where did you get those? Any wheelwell mods?
Alan, but you would have to just try those drag lites to see if they would work on your car. A good size sledge should make them fit.

Damn that looks sweet. I have a pair of 15x8 4.5" backspace Centerline "Fuel" wheels in new condition if you're interested, fit perfectly with L60-15 M/T Indy Profiles(same height/width as a 28x10)

1" = 25.4mm. Closest would be a 275-60-15.

Yes, they are Buick rallye wheels. I had them made by one of the wheel companies (NOT Wheel Vintiques). 15x10 with 5-5/8" backspacing wearing 325/50R15 M/T drag radials.
They fit great. I can still wiggle my finger between the tire and the frame on the inside, so about 3/8" clearance there. On the outside, I did trim the top of the fender well back to insure that they didn't hit. I also have airbags in the rear springs at about 8-10 psi to keep the bounce in the rear to a minimum. The rear wheel well are still round up inside and they will rub if you go over a big bump or whoop-tee-doo on the road. The air bags took care of that.
These are the biggest tires you can fit in the stock wheel wells.

Those are the DOT drag radials. Up front I used to have 245/60's, but when I realized that BFG Radial T/A's only have a speed rating of 110 mph, I swapped them out for some other tires, 225/60's I believe, that had a 149 mph rating. I don't need a blowout at the track.
